Starring Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson and John Malkovich, the Netflix original movie titled Bird Box has a release date of 21 December 2018.
The science fiction drama unfolds around a mysterious force that decimates the population, only one thing is certain – if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they'll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them – and complete the trip blindfolded.
A surprising cast appearance can be claimed by rapper, Machine Gun Kelly, who is playing the role of Felix.
The movie is based on the 2014 post-apocalyptic 272-page novel, Bird Box, written by Josh Malerman – and reading it feels like accepting a dare to walk into a strange place, eyes closed, with no idea who, or what might be reaching out to make contact.
The movie is directed by Susanne Bier and had a budget of 19,8 million USD, its world premiere will take place at AFI Fest on November 12th 2018.
