VIDEO: BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS, UGLY PLACES – A PHOTOGRAPHERS CHALLENGE!
Photography has evolved over the years, allowing us to enhance and digitally adjust photos and even Photoshop things into the pictures that weren't there in the first place.
Photographers aim to capture the beauty they see everywhere, whether it be people, places, animals or scenery, they have the skills to take the perfect snap and edit it later to enhance the most beautiful parts of it. Cats are among one the most popular items to be photographed so it's no surprise that cats are a viral craze. In fact, cats have been viral since the 1870's! Aside from cats, the photograph that has been viewed the most on a global scale, is the Windows XP default wallpaper named "Bliss", you know the one with the very green hill and the blue cloudy sky?
Photographers have taken it one step further, scrapping the beautiful rolling green hills, and have challenged themselves to take pictures in very ugly places. The aim of the challenge is to make the photo beautiful by adjusting the angle and applying digital effects to make it look as if the photo was taken in a beautiful location.
Photographers are trying to prove that art is all about the skill that defines the differences between an amateur and a pro photographer. the rules are simple:
- They had to work with whatever was already there. The photographer brought just her camera, without any artificial lighting or props;
- They couldn’t rearrange the displays or make any big changes;
- They’d stop shooting if anyone else was in the background.
