VIDEO: EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SEASON 3 OF STRANGER THINGS
If you are a major Stranger Things fan, this news will have you tickled pink! As showgoers wait in anticipation for the announcements of changes to be made in the third season, there has been an announcement regarding the addition of another character. Maya Hawke, daughter of long time exs, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, has been cast to play a role in the series described as "alternative girl". It is alleged that she will play a character named Robin who is "bored with her mundane day job. She seeks excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins."
Hawke is no stranger to acting, aside from acting literally being in her blood, she recently starred in BBC's remake of Little Women. When asked about his daughters blooming acting career, he commented: "She was always an artist, writing poems, singing songs. She didn’t discover acting until junior year of high school. It’s one of the most amazing moments of my life watching her in Little Women. She didn’t do a good job, she did a great job. To see your child thrive, and to see her thrive at a profession that you have a lot of respect for, that I’ve dedicated my life to, I was so proud of her."
The Duffer Brothers had no clear explanation on their decision and had no clear plan for the next move but did say: ‘Last year, we had a lot of little cliff-hangers at the end of the season. We didn’t want to do that again. We didn’t want to box ourselves in for season three. We wanted to be able to start season three on a very clean slate.’
