VIDEO: THE SLOW MO GUYS HIT JAMES CORDEN IN THE FACE!

The Slow Mo guys provide a very simple form of entertainment for their audience, they literally record things with high-speed cameras, capable of shooting over 343,000 frames per second, and then play them back in slow motion. From hitting each other in the face to popping a water balloon, they have become pretty popular for their work.

It no surprise that they caught the attention of James Corden who invited the Slow Mo Guys, Gavin Free and Daniel Grunchy, on The Late Late Show, to run through a few of slow-mo scenarios.

They did the classic water balloon and then went a step further. Watching James Corden getting hit in the face is pretty funny both in real time and slow-mo!

So, where did the name Slo Mo Guy come from? Grunchy said that "[Richard] Hammond was the first person to ever refer to me as a "slow mo guy" because he knew there was a high-speed camera on the shoot that we were doing, which was him going around in a Formula 1 car. And he hopped over the wall as we were setting up the Phantom... he said, 'oh you must be the slow mo guys,' and I thought that sounds pretty good." Since they won the cinematography award in 2016, they haven't looked back!
