Some parents have some difficulty when their children leave the nest – especially during the holiday season.
Moms and Dads everywhere are filled with memories of you in your pyjamas under the Christmas tree, watching Christmas cartoons and spending the holidays completely attached to their hip.
So when you're all grown up and you show up for Christmas dinner with a job, a girlfriend and an age that puts you in adulthood – your parents can forget that you are, in fact, an adult.
They forget that it is delusional to think that you and your girlfriend don't sleep in the same bed, or that you can now drink wine at the dinner table for Christmas dinner.
Holidays bring up a lot of memories – and, apparently, a lot of empty-nest syndrome!
