Yes, we've all received jump-scare videos, and they can be terrifying, but they sure are fun to send to others. Something is satisfying when giving your younger sibling a good fright, especially if they've been annoying. And it's even better when you can see or hear their reaction.

Once, we shared a jump-scare video with a colleague, who was wearing earphones, and his desk was right by the boardroom where the bosses were hosting an important meeting. Let's call him Toby. When the girl from The Ring flashed on the screen, screaming like a banshee, all hell broke loose!

This six-foot-three mountain of a man flew back on his chair, screaming like a baby, tugging his laptop with him by the earphone cord! He scampered on his hands and knees under the closet desk and covered his head in fear as his laptop followed!

By this point, the bosses had hurried out of the boardroom thinking someone was being murdered! The rest of us were in hysterics at his reaction, and it took him a minute to realise what was happening.

Needless to say, we did get into trouble by both Toby and the big cheese, but it was totally worth it to see that reaction!
