Skydiving and swimming with sharks. Those are usually two things that are high on most people's bucket lists. Getting arrested? Not so much.
A 99-year-old Dutch woman named Annie recently got arrested, and it was one of the happiest days of her life. Organised by her niece, the woman was arrested and put in a cell for a few minutes. Police played along and then let her go again. All in the name of good fun. If getting arrested is your kind of fun…
And it seems as if Annie isn't the only one with a wild bucket list. In the United States, a 102-year-old woman from Missouri got to tick "getting arrested" off her bucket list as well.
Edie Simms was cuffed and taken for a ride in the back of a police cruiser recently, reports Inside Edition. She literally laughed all the way to the police station, and the police even gave her a mock warrant of arrest.
The fun outing was arranged by friends at Edie's senior citizen centre, where she is a local member.
How times have changed! It seems as if we've gone from not wanting to be arrested to adding it to our bucket list in a matter of a few decades.
Watch the Inside Edition video below to see how these two elderly women got a kick out of being arrested, and also got to tick it off their bucket lists.
