VIDEO: WOMEN TRY ALTERNATIVE PERIOD PRODUCTS
When that time of the month rolls around for a woman, it's time to head to the shops and be prepared. Honestly, it's like the last form of slavery – because there's nothing we can do to stop our periods from arriving, so we just have to grin and bear it. And spend money on it.
Most of the female population use tampons for their period product – it's easy, it can fit nicely in your handbag and it doesn't make you feel like you're wearing a diaper.
But there are actually quite a lot of alternatives out there (many of which women still don't even know about).
What we do know is that they usually look gross, weird and uncomfortable.
But what we don't know is if using the product could be worth its strange reputation!
So, there four women each try a different alternative period product for a week. This includes Thinx Period Underwear, Sea Sponge tampons, menstrual cups and washable, reusable Lunapads...
If you haven't heard of any of these before – don't worry, you're completely normal.
But watch the video to see what they are, how they work and if they're worth it!
