WOMAN TURNS INTO A SIMPSONS CHARACTER AFTER DIY TURMERIC FACE MASK FAIL

TikTok user @Laurenjrennie was not happy after she tried a turmeric face mask she stumbled across online, claiming it would help to calm the breakouts she had.

Lauren had all the ingredients needed and started preparing. However, she soon regretted her decision after being left with a bright yellow face. 

The orange-faced lass shared a video on TikTok revealing the results. In the video Lauren explained; ”For like the last three weeks, I've had really bad skin.

"I've been breaking out in spots all over my face, but mainly across my lip line. And I really don't want to squeeze them because it's so, so sore."

Doing a little digging, Lauren searched for something to calm her skin, and came across a DIY turmeric face mask which she happened to have all of the ingredients for.

"It's got benefits for like acne, wrinkles and skin irritation. So I was like yeah let's go. But the thing is. I’ve just applied it to my face and my entire hand has turned yellow. When I take this off I’m going to resemble the moon."

Trying to scrub and scrub the yellow away, she soon realised it is not going anywhere any time soon. 

"I'm literally going to the supermarket with my dad tonight. I'm really hoping that make-up’s going to cover this."

In order to blend in, she decided to put some make-up on and put on a yellow top to distract people from her face. 

The video soon racked up more than a million views and comments. One viewers said; "Sis really woke up and decided to turn into The Simpsons," while another joked; "You really do be glowing."

"Teeth looking super white though," pointed out one viewer.

It seems she's not the only person to fall foul of this recipe. Perhaps, everyone should leave this to the pros!
