We all know that most cats are not fond of water at all. Cat owners know the struggle when it comes to giving your cat his needed bath once in a while. Walking in scratch free and coming out looking like you have been in a bar fight with a tiger.
Well, when little Marvin’s family first adopted him, they thought they would have the same experience, which turned out to be quite the shocking opposite. His family were expecting him to partake in the typical mischief that all kittens love which include running around, playing with things they’re not supposed, bumping of flower pots from the bookshelf, and most of all hating water. Which little Marvin seems to be obsessed with.
Marvin loved to sit on the edge of the bathtub while a family member was taking a shower which they found sort of normal. He also always loved playing with the water in his water bowl, so they figured he just had some sort of fascination with the invisible liquid and the sounds it makes. It wasn’t until he finally worked up the courage to dive into the filled bathtub that they discovered his true love for it.
That one day Marvin got enough courage and decided he was done watching and jumped into the shower. Instead of jumping back out again he started playing with the water and clearly look super happy. Even after he became completely soaked, he continued to play as though he felt at home and peaceful in there. His family couldn’t help but laugh as he romped around and had his very own little water adventure. “We figured he was OK with water, but this is next level — he’s basically a sea otter.”
His family however couldn’t help but think that that experience might have just been a one time thing. But a few days later Marvin proved them wrong. When Marvin’s mom was drawing herself a bath and turned away for a minute, Marvin hopped right in again and stole the bath from his mom. He was so excited and started to play and swim in the bath.
Now after finally discovering his true love for water, Marvin is constantly trying to sneak into the shower and play in the water whenever someone is in there. To make his bath even more enjoyable, his parents even ordered him his very own swimming fishies so that he has something to play with while he is in there.
