STRAY DOGS SHOWS UP AT HOSPITAL WHERE THEIR HOMELESS CAREGIVER IS BEING TREATED
It is common knowledge that a dog is man's best friend. But a pack of puppies in southern Brazil took their loyalty to a new level when they followed their stray leader to the hospital.
This unlikely connection was formed when both a man identified only as Cesar and a group of dogs lived on the streets of Rio do Sul. Cesar would often sacrifice his food for his animal friends, attracting large numbers of stray animals. While one would think these dogs would only stick around when it came to leftovers, the bitter photo proves otherwise.
Late one night, Cesar arrived at the emergency room at Alto Veil Regional Hospital in Rio do Sul. While he was being treated, a nurse named Chris Mamprim noticed an unusual sight: four dogs waiting patiently at the building's entrance. When she found out these dogs were Cesar's companions, she was so moved that she took a picture and shared it on Facebook, where it went viral.
In addition to highlighting Cesar's story, Mamprim took the opportunity to remind readers not to judge others, especially those who have been through hard times. "A humble man without luxuries, who needs help to conquer hunger, cold, pain and the wickedness of the world, has the best of comrades by his side, and the exchanges are mutual," she wrote. "I don't know what his life is like, why he's on the streets, and I don't even want to know and judge him, but I admire his respect and love for his pets." Seeing them the way they are at the door waiting shows how much they are cared for and loved.
Luckily the dogs didn't have to wait long; Cesar came and went an hour later as he was met by four cocks wagging wildly.
