TIKTOK USERS ARE OBSESSED WITH THE UNIQUE NARROW DESIGN OF CHICAGO'S 'SKINNY HOUSE'

A uniquely shaped house dubbed the "Skinny House", has taken over TikTok due to its oddly narrow appearance.

The video of the Skinny House was first shared on TikTok by @eli.korn_. Since then, the video has captured the attention of hundreds of thousands of other TikTok users. Viewers seemed to be shocked at its unbelievable proportions.

Over a million TikTok users have since viewed the"skinny house" video. One user commented; "That's not a house, that's a hallway," while another added "One gust of wind and it's all over."

However, even before the TikTok video brought attention to the home, the structure was already famous for its unique appearance.

The skinny house is located in Deerfield, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The home was first referred to as the "pie house", resembling a slice of the delectable food with one narrow end opening up to a broader opposite side.

Even though the house is only three feet wide on one end, it has been reported that the house looks surprisingly roomy.

The house is 1,122 square feet, with two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, and was previously on the market for $269,000.

According to the Zillow listing, the home is larger than it looks. The description also states that the house is perfect for a "first-time homeowner" or an "empty nester looking to downsize."

Downsizing in recent years has become increasingly popular as many people are trying to save on living costs.

"Don't judge a book by its cover" is a relevant statement in this case, as the "pie house" is technically more spacious than a traditional tiny house. Those are typically regarded as a house that's 500 square feet or less. The pie house's appearance makes it reminiscent of a miniature house, but, that is not the case inside.
