VIDEO: 8 SIMPLE HACKS EVERY RUNNER SHOULD KNOW

Cardio is hardio, y'all, so sometimes we need a few hacks to help us along our running path to get you fit! Often, running can feel like you are setting your lungs on fire as you move towards imminent death, all while still lugging around some extra weight.

 
It's not fun... there is a reason people used horses to get around and then eventually invented the wheel. Imagine having to walk and run everywhere!
 
But, fear not! We have a couple of running hacks that will help you out!
 
  1. If you decide to start off your journey to fitness on a treadmill, cover the clocks on the treadmill. It will help to take your mind off the painful process. You may even lose track of time (get it... track) and end up running further than you thought you ever could! It may even help to listen to music or even watch a movie.

  2. Keep your feet dry while running in the rain or snow by duct-taping the tops to prevent water from getting in. This way you won't blister by rubbing against the wet material, you won't have smelly shoes and your feet will stay warm. Just make sure your shoes have good grip!

  3. If you get tired, instead of stopping completely, reduce your pace to a brisk walk. It will make it easier to start running again and increase your fitness levels faster. If the thought of running for 40 minutes makes you want to just give up hope and go to Mc Donalds, break up the run into short intervals, changing between running and walking. 

  4. We all know those annoying people who post about every workout and we just roll-and-scroll. Well, follow those people and let their progress inspire you to set goals and push harder. You don't have to make it public but you could write it down and put it in your car or, perhaps, even in your running shoes so you can review your goals just before your run!

  5. If you only have time to run in the mornings, sleep in your running clothes. It will motivate you to get up and running, plus it'll save you time in the morning. Put your alarm in a place you can't reach from your bed so if you're tempted to press the snooze button, you have to get out of bed anyway!
