Every year schools around the world encourage kids to make a card for their parents and friends for all of the Hallmark holidays. By the time mother's day comes around, you better know that a handful of badly cut, colourful cards are coming your way.
Teachers use these cards for kids to practice their spelling and writing skills, which parents obviously appreciate. But, sometimes the messages get a bit too literal, although they are still pretty cute. Their cards can turn out to be innocently rude with perhaps a couple of inappropriate spelling mistakes. At least their intentions are pure... we hope.
Let's not forget the painfully accurate drawings that come with it but hey, at least they are showing their appreciation. Some of the cards even made it all the way to soldiers who were being deployed, which went a little something like: "Thanks for dying for us", as if that makes them feel better...
