AMUSING AND FUNNY RUBE GOLDBERG CHAIN REACTION MACHINE TO PASS THE WINE
Have you ever heard of the Rube Goldberg effect, or maybe witnessed a Rube Goldberg machine in action? For those who are new to the subject, a Rube Goldberg machine is a set up contraption and design which carries out a task by using chain reactions. In other words, it could perform a very simple task in a complicated way.
One very familiar Rube Goldberg machine, is the contraction that wipes a person’s chin with a napkin.
Joseph Herscher of Joseph’s Machines provided a somewhat hilarious example of his own Rube Goldberg machine. His amusingly complex chain reaction machine used hammers, a rubber chicken, a willing human, and an electric meat slicer. This reaction passes a bottle of wine across a really long table.
The very appropriate soundtrack of Klezmer music was provided by the Jews Brothers Band (Herscher’s mother is the singer).
