GUY SURPRISED TO DISCOVER WHY ALARM STOPPED WORKING IN THE MORNING

We all know how hard it is sometimes to get out of bed and ready to take on the day. Sometimes we just wish we had a valid excuse for just sleeping in a few more minutes than usual. 

Alexandre Lima, might have just found his perfect excuse, after he found himself in a bit of a predicament. This one threatened to impact his livelihood. Despite setting his alarm clock on his phone to go off each morning to wake him up in time to finish up for work, Lima still ended up a bit late and kept on oversleeping.

“At first, I thought I was deactivating the alarm while I was asleep,” Lima said, but it turns out, it was someone else who was to blame.

After  a week of continuing to oversleep, and his alarm not waking him up, Lima finally caught the source of the problem. The source which caused him so much concern and maybe a little bit more beauty sleep, was actually his dog, Dory.

One morning, after waking up from sleep long enough, Lima was lucky enough to catch the furry culprit in the act. “I woke up and saw Dory licking the phone. I couldn't believe it.”

The smart dog figured out how to silence Lima’s alarm all on her own. Both Lima and his wife were stunned and couldn’t believe that she figured it out. They captured video of Dory’s surprising new ability on camera to explain the recent delays.

“I told my boss, showing him the video, and he thought it was very funny. I’m glad I didn’t have worse problems, besides the embarrassment of having to explain myself.”

Even though it was Dory’s fault that Lima was late a few times for work, he still  doesn’t hold it against her. Lima suspect that little Dory’s motives for shutting off the alarm where far more adorable than just trying to get the extra sleep in. 

“She associated the alarm with us leaving the house. Without the alarm, we would stay with her longer.” 

But fortunately Lima has since figured out a solution to the problem of Dory-caused oversleeping, and has now begun placing the phone on a shelf where she can’t reach it.

“How could I begrudge her? Just look at her face. She’s so proud of herself.”
