OZZY OSBOURNE TEAMS UP WITH TODD MCFARLANE TO DIRECT TRIPPY MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘PATIENT NUMBER 9’

In a new trippy music video for his hit single “Patient Number 9”, an animated Ozzy Osbourne is seen singing about being trapped inside an insane asylum and desperately wanting to leave and go back home. The newly released single, “Patient Number 9” is one song off his long-awaited 13th album also named Patient Number 9,  and finally dropped on June 24.

The amazing and trippy video was directed by legendary comic book artist Todd McFarlane. Another surprise thrown is the legendary Jeff Beck playing the guitar.

Osbourne revealed a year ago that his new single was written about Sharon Osbourne, the media personality who's his longtime wife and manager. "There's one (song) called 'Patient Number 9’. It's one we wrote about Sharon and I." Osbourne then later revealed in April he'd completed Ordinary Man's follow-up. He wrote on his official website, "I'm so happy to let everyone know that I finished my new album … and delivered it to my label Epic Records. I’ll be sharing all the information about the album and its upcoming release with you in the next several weeks."

This is not the first time McFarlane and Osbourne had worked together on Ozzy figurines. In fact, McFarlane revealed in an interview with Comicboook, that he reconnected with Sharon Osbourne after a number of years.

McFarlane added, “I got to spend some time with Ozzy and Sharon…when their kids were small, which was cool, watching them grow up on TV. Then a call just came in — I don’t know what the motivation was on their side, but Sharon remembered our working relationship and enjoyed it, and thought that I might be appropriate. We had a conversation, and if nothing else, we just caught up from years past when we had hung out.”
