MUSICIAN PERFORMS ICONIC INTROS TO HEAVY METAL SONGS WITH MUCH DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS
What is the coolest rock or metal song cover you have heard? Maybe you are not a fan of the classical rock and metal genre.
Traditionally, heavy metal music is characterised by loud distorted guitars, emphatic rhythms, dense bass-and-drum sound, and vigorous vocals. This sub category of the rock genre, started to develop in the late 1960s and has been apart of many lives and musical development over the years.
However, Canadian percussionist Joe Porter took heavy metal to a whole new level. Porter performed several iconic intros to some famous heavy metal songs on a variety of percussion instruments played in a row. And Porter is clearly enjoying every moment. “Having a ton of fun with these Iconic Rock & Metal Music Riffs with Cool Instruments! (Anything but a guitar),” he added.
His unique performance included songs such as “Enter Sandman” by Metallica on hammered dulcimer, “Sweet Child ‘o Mine” by Guns ‘n Roses on steel pan, “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC on Slapaphone, “Californication” by Red Hot Chili Peppers on Vibraphone, “Master of Puppets” by Metallica on Flairdrum, and “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden on marimba.
