TODDLES DECLARED YOUNGEST ARTIST IN THE WORLD BY GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS

A lot of kids are naturally gifted artists. After all, their imaginations are limitless, and they approach colours and shapes with a special curiosity. It would be difficult to find the youngest artist on Earth because of this, but Guinness World Records has managed to do so. Ghanaian young child Ace-Liam Ankrah, who turns 2 in July, has won the title of "World's Youngest Male Artist" after meeting the prerequisite standards. At the age of six months, Ace-Liam painted his first piece, which was appropriately named The Crawl. As his mother, Chantelle Kuukua Eghan, an artist, worked on her projects, she had to amuse her son.

She told AP, "I painted a canvas that I had spread out on the floor, and as he crawled, he ended up spreading all the colours on the canvas." Following that, he kept painting at his mother's encouragement. The young artist used acrylic paint to create his colourful, expressive pieces. His mother lets him let his imagination run wild, opening the bottles after he's chosen the paint colours and canvas size. For Eghan, Ace-Liam is now like a young Jackson Pollock, splattering paint all over the canvas like in his well-known drip paintings. She told BBC News, "Jackson Pollock allowed his inner child to be with him, even when he was old."

Last June, Eghan made the decision to apply for the record. Guinness World Records informed her in November 2023 that her son needed to sell paintings and have an exhibition in order to surpass an earlier record. Nine out of ten of Ace-Liam'slistedpieces were sold during his first exhibition, which she arranged to take place in January 2024 at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the first lady of Ghana, saw the show and even placed a commission with him.

According to Eghan, "his abstract paintings are inspired by the colours, shapes, textures, and mood of the world around him." "His enthusiasm for learning new things and his curiosity are reflected in every painting." Depending on his current level of interest, Ace-Liam'spaintingsessions can range in length from a few minutes to approximately thirty minutes. According to Eghan, "Sometimes he leaves a painting and returns to it after a few days to finish it." "After finishing, he says, 'Mama, finish.'"

Except for The Crawl, which his mother wants to keep in the family, Ace-Liam has sold 15 paintings thus far in his brief career. In addition to searching for new chances for her son, like submitting scholarship applications and assisting him in selling paintings to a global audience, an auction of his most recent paintings is scheduled for the near future. In general, she wants to encourage other parents to identify and develop their kids' talents, and she's proud of how far her child has come. She says, "He is painting, developing, and having fun throughout the entire process."
