ICONIC YAYOI KUSAMA POLKA DOTS TAKE OVER AT LOUIS VUITTON STORES AROUND THE WORLD
When you walk down the Champs-Élysées in Paris, you can discover a surprising new sight. French luxury brand Louis Vuitton is celebrating its collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama by decorating various locations around the world with iconic polka dots and life-like animatronics.
This special installation coincides with the launch of Louis Vuitton's capsule collection inspired by Kusama's creative work. These stores range from subtle additions to the storefronts and interiors to surreal additions to the buildings themselves. Perhaps most notable is the giant portrait of Kusama hanging outside Louis Vuitton's flagship store in Paris. He seems to have painted numerous films covering the facade, placed on the roof of an Art Deco building with one arm hanging from the window.
