ARIANA GRANDE AND PETE DAVIDSON CALL OFF THEIR ENGAGEMENT
After announcing their engagement after just three weeks of dating back in May, Ariana and Pete have called off their engagement – six months later.
The reason for Ariana and Pete calling it off hasn't yet been confirmed however we think it has a lot to do with the fact that her ex, Mac Miller, unexpectedly passed away in September.
Ariana has been cancelling a lot of her appearances recently for undisclosed personal issues. She was scheduled to perform at a fundraiser for cancer research but pulled out of the event. Her manager Scooter Braun alluded to her in a speech at the gathering, saying Grande was going through a difficult time. Can we blame her?
A source also says she partly blames herself for Miller's death as she started dating Pete shortly after breaking up with Miller who was dating Ariana for two years prior. Miller had issues with substance abuse which lead him to an overdose.
In an August interview with GQ, Davidson called himself "the luckiest guy in the world."
"The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" Davidson recalled. "She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, 'Do you like any of these?' She was like, 'Those are my favourite ones,' and I was like, 'Sick.'"
TMZ reported that the two were spotted at SNL over the weekend together hugging and kissing – though the relationship had been on the rocks. They moved in together shortly after their engagement and adopted a little pig. Since the breakup, Ariana is said to be keeping the pig after she moves out.
