DNA TEST REVEALS IDENTITY OF MYSTERY ANIMAL FOUND OUTSIDE WOMAN’S DOOR

On one cold and snowy day in Pennsylvania, a woman Christina Eyth noticed something unfamiliar outside her home. In the cold white snow were fresh tracks from what appeared to be a dog. But there was something about the pattern the tracks made which had Eyth feeling concerned.

.Eyth decided to follow the tracks to where they led, just outside her basement door. "I saw that there were dog prints that went up to my door, like he was looking in for help. That’s when I saw this poor animal. He looked so cold and was shivering.” On one cold and snowy day in Pennsylvania, a woman Christina Eyth noticed something unfamiliar outside her home. In the cold white snow were fresh tracks from what appeared to be a dog. But there was something about the pattern the tracks made which had Eyth feeling concerned.

.Eyth decided to follow the tracks to where they led, just outside her basement door. "I saw that there were dog prints that went up to my door, like he was looking in for help. That’s when I saw this poor animal. He looked so cold and was shivering.” 

“I wasn’t completely sure, but he never showed signs of aggression. I just saw an animal in need of help and wanted to help him.” 

Eyth shared the news about the mystery animal on a local message board. Not long after volunteers from Tj’s Rescue Hideaway, an animal welfare group, were on the scene to help assist. However, they too had no idea what animal it was. But they knew he needed their help regardless.

"Maria, the group's organiser, and her team came out and were able to catch him without hurting him at all. They transported him to Wildlife Works-Mount Pleasant to get treatment and testing done to confirm what he is."

DNA results to prove whether the poor animal is a dog or a coyote would take several weeks to arrive. Still not knowing, rescuers decided to continue treating him with the same care and respect all animals deserve, exactly as Eyth had done.

But during his visit, the mystery animal managed to surprise everyone when he managed to break out of the treatment facility only a few days after being rescued, and the poor animal was never seen again. The mystery of his species still remained unknown after he left, however the truth has finally arrived. 

According to the DNA test, the mystery animal found outside of Eyth's door was indeed a coyote all along. Hopefully the little guy is back in the wild where he belongs and recovering all the way. "No matter the results to the test, I wouldn’t have changed anything I did to help him," Eyth’s said.
