A Reddit user named Soulhacler was going on about his day one morning when he found something very surprising. After turning on his PC and getting ready to put on his headphones he suddenly realised that there was something really different from what he is used to. He felt was something furry in his ear.
A little adorable animal managed to crawl into his headset overnight and found the perfect place to take a nap. The tiny creature’s fur blended in almost perfectly with his headphones that the Reddit user didn’t even notice the little guy napping away.
“Its fur was really soft and felt like a cat's fur touching against your ear. I really didn't know what it could have been, and when I looked, at first I thought it was a mouse.” After taking it off again due to the uncomfortableness, he started to examine his headset for unfamiliarities. It was then when he notices something and realised that the little animal was actually a bat.
“It must have come through the ceiling somehow — although it's a modern office. I learned that bats migrate, so it probably stopped for a rest and got into the office building.”
Soulhacler was surprisingly calm and patient when it came to helping his new coworker. Not rushing the little fellow, he allowed the little bat to wake up naturally at his own time. When the tiny bat finally woke up, Soulhacler let the bat crawl around his desk a bit before guiding him into a cardboard box.
“I also learned that bats can't just take off like birds. To fly, it needs to take off from dangling downwards. They have to be at least 2 to 3 feet above the ground, on a tree or branch, to fall into flight.”
Soulhacler and his coworkers got in contact with several a nearby bat conservation organisations until one were willing to take in the little bat. Clearly the bad chose the right pair of headphones to take an undisturbed nap in.
