SOULFUL CHILLING CELLO COVER OF THE HIT SONG ‘RUNNING UP THAT HILL’
Kate Bush’s famous hit song ‘Running Up That Hill” has once again taken over the world of music. This amazing song from 1985 become popular again after several years, after it was featured in the fourth season of the hit series Stranger Things.
The hit song definitely didn’t go unnoticed by musicians, as several has shared their cover and version of the song in various of different ways. One of the musicians includes Nicholas Yee who definitely nailed his unique version of the song. Yea performed an absolutely beautiful and soulful cover of the song “Running Up That Hill (Deal With God)” on a cello.
"Stranger Things has always made great use of 80s songs in its soundtrack, but I’d say this is probably the most impactful yet. And both the harmony and atmosphere of the song perfectly encapsulate the dark but also heartwarming tone that the show embraces at its most effective.”
That wasn’t the only Stranger Things tribute Yea has done. Back in 2016, Yee and two of his musician friends took on a medley of Stranger Things music as a cello trio. “Medley of themes from “Stranger Things”, featuring my good friends Adam and Katherine! …Huge thanks to Adam Caulfield and Katherine Pernal for bringing their talents to this project (and playing all the hard parts)”
